First Tropical Disturbance of 2025 Approaches New Orleans

As a Tropical Disturbance enters the Gulf and moves towards its expected landfall in New Orleans on Thursday (July 17th) – Saturday ( July 19, 2025), we want to provide you with an important update regarding our operations and express our gratitude to those working tirelessly to ensure residents and the guests of our city are prepared.

For 45 years, the krewe at Hotel Maison Pierre Lafitte has stood strong in the face of many tropical disturbances. We've weathered the fury of major hurricanes: Katrina's devastating embrace in 2005, Ida's powerful punch in 2021, and the recent Hurricane Francine that swept through in September 2024. Like the ancient live oaks whose roots run deeper with each storm's passing, our experience and resilience have created a foundation as solid as the French Quarter's time-worn cobblestones. While each storm presents its unique challenges, our team’s commitment to safety and our community remains unwavering as we prepare to face this year’s upcoming wave of weather in the Gulf.
